Our Crucible Weekend is designed to challenge men of faith to take a hard look at what is working and not working in their lives. The typical, trite answers are confronted and men are challenged to go deeper to discover new levels of truth about themselves. When men experience truth at a deep level, they are prepared to experience grace at a deep level. We give men an opportunity to wrestle with God over issues in their lives where they may be stuck or are not experiencing the freedom and power they want to experience. Finally, we invite men to embrace their God-given masculinity and live at new levels of authenticity, passion and power.

2nd-Level Retreats
The Crucible Project offers 4 different 2nd-level retreats which challenge men who have already completed a 1st-Level Retreat to continue their growth and development as Christian men.
MISSION RETREAT
The core of a man’s life is his purpose. Without a conscious mission a man is lost, drifting and adapting to circumstances in his life, rather than creating events. Everything in a man’s life needs to be aligned with his purpose, if he is to act with integrity in his world. But if you don’t find your purpose, then you can’t align your life with it. But if you know it, then you can create your life so that you minimize distractions and detours and fulfill it. Each moment of your life can become an expression of your core desire and purpose. You are no longer just going through the motions in your life (making money, getting married, finding a home, raising kids), but you are living from your heart, giving your gifts to the world. Such a life brings rich fulfillment to the soul of a man. We believe that this is how Jesus lived (see Luke 4:18, 19:10) and how He wants us to live as followers of Him. It is why we have created an entire weekend devoted to exploring this crucial subject.
SEXUALITY RETREAT
If you are like most men, the word “sex” stirs up a wide range of emotions and experiences – from joy, delight and ecstatic pleasure to shame, anger and pain. How can something that God designed as such a wonderful gift become a source of such confusion, darkness and despair for so many men?
On this retreat we tackle the multifaceted subject of sex. We explore the “dark side” of sexuality – looking at your woundedness, the shame you carry, and ways you can experience healing and freedom. We also explore how men use sex to avoid unpleasant feelings—and chart a better path to emotional health. On this retreat we also help you reclaim your sexuality as a sacred gift to be repossessed—not repressed. By reclaiming, owning, and enjoying your sexuality, you are less likely to act out in dark and unhealthy ways.
If you have struggled with your sexuality and been defeated by trying harder…or replacing bad thoughts with good thoughts…or various forms of psychological neutering …if you long to move toward embracing and enjoying sexuality with passion and love, then this is the retreat for you. You’ll learn how to connect your heart to your genitals. You’ll go beyond winning a battle in your mind and explore making deep and lasting links between your emotions and your body. No simple “four-steps-to-victory” exists, but the retreat will provide a safe place to engage in a holistic process that includes exploring your past, looking at your beliefs, using your mind, emotions and body – all with the goal of seeing your sexuality as a wonderful gift God has given you to enjoy.
LEADERSHIP RETREATS
Come to a two-weekend (10-11 months apart) experience where you will learn about authenticity, integrity, brokenness, courage, vision, servanthood and blessing in leadership. Identify the ways you limit your leadership – and then break through those barriers so that you contribute to the world what your heart longs to give. Learn to lead from your true essence and power instead of an image or persona. Discover how to increase your influence and how to lead as a Servant-King who uses his gifts to bless those he serves. This unique, two-retreat package has several months between weekends to enable you to take practical steps that become part of your second weekend. Go beyond just gathering more information about leadership; learn how to make authentic, courageous leadership a part of who you are so you create the impact in your family, church, neighborhood and world that both you and God want.
